We had a great Valentine's day this year. I found a bunch of fun Valentine stuff at the dollar section of Target a few weeks ago so I have been planning a fun little valentine party for the kids for a while now.
Sunday night I went to Landon's office (it would have been a secret if I hadn't had to ask him how to get into his office...) and decorated it with paper hearts and left a bunch of his favorite snacks and a card for him to find the next day. He knew I had done something but I think he was surprised (and probably embarrassed because it was really cheesy and he works with a bunch of manly guys:) )
Before Landon left for work on Monday we had a little scavenger hunt with the kids and it led them to a Valentine goody bag, a new book, and a toy. Jack could have cared less about his stuff but he really wanted to do another scavenger hunt (sometimes I wonder why I even try)! Then Avery and I (she helped me stir) made pink pancakes and scrambled eggs with ham and green peppers for breakfast. After Landon left for work the kids and I had a little Valentine party. We played Valentine bingo (way too many times) made rice krispy treats with Valentine sprinkles in them (so gross, not my best idea), played balloon volleyball with Valentine balloons, and went to the park, even though that has nothing to do with Valentine's...
I made a special dinner and we had sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries that Landon gave me along with gorgeous roses. I usually don't go all out for Valentine's day but we had so much fun that I think we will do something like this every year.

You are such a good mom and wife! That sounds like a fun Valentines Day. I want to come to your party next year :)
The office looked amazing. Just to add a little detail. Paper hearts of all different sizes covered the walls, desk and computers. Corn nuts, licorice and gatorades were there waiting for me. Best of all there was a very nice love card. Love you Kels!
