Owie turns one!

I can't believe my baby is ONE!  This last year has just flown by! Owen fit in perfectly from minute one has continued to just go with the flow amid all the crazy that goes on at the Taylor household.  Being the fourth child is not easy peasy but Owen takes all the lack of attention, busy momma, crazy siblings always in his face, toys taken away, never watched a baby Einstein movie, living in the car, always strapped in a stroller, and not so soft older brother with stride.  Basically, he is pretty chill and we are so grateful for it!

He has started to become a little bit more clingy and LOVES his mama!  He is never far from my side! He is kind of a picky eater...he has never liked bananas, or oatmeal which are baby staples. You'd think because he is so chunky that he eats a lot but he really doesn't.  He LOVES balls. His favorite thing to do is play pass and he can actually throw pretty far.  I have seriously played pass with him for a half an hour...that's a pretty long attention span for a baby.  He is pretty much walking all the time now.  He still is a little stiff when he walks and it is the cutest thing.  He looks like a little baby Frankenstein when he walks!

We had a simple little family birthday party which is my favorite! I love that my big kids can help with the party prep.  They were so excited to celebrate Owen! Avery picked out his cake and balloons and we had a yummy dinner of meatballs over cous cous which was delish! My parents came over after dinner and we had cake and ice cream and sang happy birthday. We gave him his own smash cake and he loved it! We let him open his gifts a few days early so he had already been playing with them for a few days.  We got him a bunch of connectible pop up tents and a ball pit which was a big hit with him!  We also got this tiny little basketball hoop and it has been really fun. My parents brought him the cutest little stuffed elephant.  It was the perfect birthday party to celebrate our Owen!

I took him to his one year old appointment on his birthday and he had to get three shots. Mean mom!
