Temple Square

I love love love to walk around Temple Square in the summer. I love seeing all the pretty flowers and sometimes we get to see brides all dressed up in their dresses.  I have been wanting to take my family all summer long but we never got around to it.  My cousin Zac came home from his mission to New York and his family had a little get together at their home in Salt Lake.  We thought it would be fun to support Zac and also a good time to head to temple square.  We didn't end up leaving my aunt and uncles house until around 6 and then we decided to drive around Salt Lake and look at the home I grew up in and the homes Landon's grandparents lived in.  We didn't get to temple square until 7:30 which is bedtime for my little boys but I am so glad we didn't turn around and go home because we had such a good time.  Jack was really interested in the visitors center and the little replica of Jerusalem and the different places Christ visited.  He was mesmerized and kept telling me all these cool facts about Christ and his last days.  It was a good learning experience for him. My kids loved seeing the large statue of Christ and we loved watching a video about Christ's last days. We ended the night by touring the old tabernacle. Someone was playing the organ and Jack thought it was the coolest thing. Maybe someday he will learn how to play the organ.  My favorite part of the whole night was as we were leaving in the car I told the kids to turn around and say bye to the temple and then they broke out in my favorite primary song.  It brought tears to my eyes!  I love my kids!
