Easter 2015 (lessons learned)

We were going to be in St. George for Easter this year so we were hoping that the Easter bunny would come a week early and luckily he did :) The big kids got new scooters and Miles got a little tricycle and all the kids got a bunch of yummy candy in their Easter baskets! We had really good weather so we were able to do an Easter egg hunt in the backyard.  I had Landon go and hide all the eggs.  When he was done we all went outside with our baskets and I was mortified to see that he had basically dumped the eggs on the ground! The easter egg hunt literally lasted 1 minute...lesson learned.  Next year I will hide the eggs! Luckily the kids didn't mind and I heard them say multiple times "dad is the best egg hider"...What?! Haha!  I gave Landon a hard time!

Later that night we (meaning mostly Avery...) had fun dying easter eggs.  I found these plastic type eggs at target that I thought would be perfect for dying.  I was also really excited that I didn't have to boil a ton of eggs.  Well, the eggs didn't dye very well and they kinda just bobbed on the water instead of staying submerged in the dye...lesson number two learned.  Never use fake eggs again!

The last lesson learned...never give a peep to a baby.  I have smooshed up marshmallow all over my carpet that isn't coming out anytime soon!

Memories were made, and the kids really had a good Easter in spite of having to learn a few things the hard way. I love that about little kids. They make the best out of every situation. I can learn a few things from my kids in that way!
