Bear Lake in the Fall

We took our annual Hunter family fall break trip to Bear Lake this year.  The weather was AMAZING and the scenery was gorgeous.  Bear Lake in October might be my new favorite time to go! 

A few highlights:

Avery LOVED the beach!  It was the perfect place for her to dig in the sand, play in the water and pretend to be a mermaid.  Audrey took all of these pictures and they are my favorite!

My sister Mary Alice has been at BYU Idaho for a few months so we were so excited to see her at Bear Lake!  I think Avery was the most excited though.  Whenever I would say we are going to Bear Lake, Avery would always remind me "and Mimi is going to be there too!" These two are best buds!

We found a little public pool and took the kids swimming for a few hours. They loved it!

We played and watched a lot of pickle ball!  My brother CJ set up a pickle ball court in the driveway of the cabin next to the one we were staying at.  We didn't think it would be a problem because the cabin seemed deserted and it was the off season for Bear Lake. We were all kind of on edge though hoping no one would show up.  The last night of our pickle ball tournament the thing we had all been dreading came true!  Two cars pulled up the long dirt driveway headed towards the driveway we were playing at and the worst part about it is that they were police cars! The security camera had seen something and alerted the owners of the cabin who then alerted the cops!  Luckily we ended the tournament right then and took everything down. No harm was done but I thought it was a pretty funny story!

One afternoon all the boys spent a few hours golfing so we thought it would be fun for the girls to do something for a few hours.  We ended up getting raspberry shakes at La Beaus, driving around Bear Lake for a while then shopping at a little gift shop.  It was the perfect little outing!

We took family pictures down by the Lake and stayed and played in the water for a while. My kids were in heaven! The water was warm and there was a perfect beach for digging and playing in the sand.

Miles kept wading out into the lake all the way up to his chest and Scott was so nice to follow him around.  Miles was loving life!

Jack loved catching footballs and diving into the lake.
