St. George Fall Break Trip

I had been wanting to take the kids to see the Aladdin play at the Tuachan all summer but we were never able to make it down to St. George. We decided that during fall break would be the perfect time to take our long awaited St. George trip.

The drive down was pretty uneventful. The kids did awesome and Miles slept almost the whole way down (I was expecting a screaming baby and ornery kids...)  We stayed in a really nice place in Washington, Utah about 10 minutes from St. George.  The first day we got there we unpacked and played around the condo for a while then we headed on down to the Tuachan to see Aladdin!  Children younger then 3 are not allowed in the amphitheater so we threw around a bunch of different ideas on what to do with Miles.  He is still nursing and won't take a bottle so he is pretty much attached to my hip. We found out about this daycare they had at the Tuachan during the play and decided that it would be best to have him stay there during the play.  I am not a huge fan of daycare and none of my kids have ever been to a daycare before so I was really dreading dropping off Miles.  Luckily they had tv monitors that we could watch and check on Miles during the play.  It about broke my heart to drop him off but in the end he did really good and we were able to enjoy Aladdin. The kids had such a blast and pretty much sat through the whole thing!

We had a private outdoor fireplace and we grilled and ate lunch out here almost everyday. Landon had some music going and he and Avery started dancing away!

On our second day there we went hiking around Pioneer Park and loved every minute of it until we got caught in a huge rainstorm!  For 15 minutes we trekked back to our car in pouring rain!  The kids loved it and I covered Miles up with my sweater so we were good to go!

This is what Miles thought about the hike...

The next day we headed to the Sand Hollow Aauatics Center and had a BLAST!

Jack was in heaven with these lilly pads!  He had his very own wipeout course!

We took Miles for a dip in the pool and he really enjoyed himself!

I couldn't leave St. George without doing some shopping at the outlets!  Here is Avery modeling some of my purchases!

We spent a lot of time at our condo's pool!  They had a beautiful outdoor pool and luckily an indoor pool because for a few days is was kinda rainy and cold.

A few more fun details I want to remember:

Watching the vice presidential debate
playing "LIFE" with Jack and Avery
Brick Oven, Wingers, and In and Out
Cookies, cupcakes and slushies at Swig
the giant jetted tub
hanging out with Mary Alice
Miles sleeping perfectly the whole trip
playing at the park
Home Goods, and Gymboree
Jack swimming everywhere
Avery going down the big water slide over and over
sleeping in

Such a fun trip!!
