Could I love this boy more?
These pictures were taken when he was seriously sick with hand foot and mouth disease. He wasn't eating anything, he had sores in his mouth and on his feet, he had a fever on and off for days, and lovely bowel promblems... yet would you ever be able to tell? He was still happy and loving life!
Jack has so many great qualities but I wanted to write down a few little things that I have noticed lately.
He is so patient with Avery. Whenever we are playing games or with toys he encourages Avery and helps her when she doesn't know how to play. He makes sure she always gets a turn and he lets her take her time. He is such a good big brother.
Sports are his life. Whenever he gets his hands on the tv remote he changes it to football, or soccer, or volley ball, or baseball. He knows all the college football and NFL team names. He makes up his own football game in his head and will play for hours with his football outside. When I was taking these pictures he was in the middle of one of his games and he told me to get off his "field" while he was playing. Whenever he is in a grumpy mood all Landon and I have to say is lets go play pass and he is instantly back to his happy self again. He can throw a spiral way better then me (I actually don't even know how to throw a spiral and he almost always throws spirals...). Landon has big plans for Jack to follow in his quarterback footsteps :)
He is a cautious little guy. Most kids his age are riding bikes without training wheels, well he still won't get on his big bike. He is too scared he is going to fall. He really has had no interest in bikes, or skateboards, or motorcycles or anything with wheels. We are slowly working with him but we are not pushing him too hard. He will get it eventually.
He is such a little brain. He is very quick to remember things and he soaks everything up he sees. He is reading signs and words on the tv and sentences in books and it just amazes us to see him reading when we haven't really taught him how. He picks up things quick and doesn't forget things easily.
He is really into games right now. His favorite show to watch on tv is called Family Game Night where two teams play the classic games changed up a bit. My parent's have the game Sorry and whenever we go over to their house he has to play 3 or 4 times. He loves Candy Land, Uno, Snails Pace Race, Twister, Yahtzee, and any game he can get his hands on.
